SEED: Summer Enrichment & Educational Development

SEED is a SUMMER non-profit academic enrichment program FOR ALL STUDENTS.

It is specifically designed to stimulate original thinking and to motivate students by encouraging a wide variety of interest areas.  Truly dedicated and talented educators work with students to develop complex thinking skills that will prepare them for the unique challenges facing 21st century students. The focus will be hands-on, interactive learning that engages all the senses and a variety of strategies. All classes are held at the Middle Tree site.

SEED runs for 9 weeks: June 19th - August 18th

Enroll for either HALF (9am-12 and 1-4pm ) or FULL days, for ANY NUMBER of days per week

CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP ( Fridays 1-3pm )

Featuring NEW YORK TIMES best selling author ANDREA CREMER

Prior to becoming a full-time writer, Andrea resided in the academic world where she was a professor of early modern history. Andrea has authored such books as NIGHTSHADE "a historical fiction — with a modern, pop culture twist. An intelligent re-imagining of the past played out in the present with shape-shifting werewolves."

AVAILABLE TO BOTH UPPER DIVISION AND LOWER DIVISION STUDENTS

KINDERGARTEN through 8th (Lower Division)

Credentialed teachers, tutors, aides, and special guests will provide an excellent student to teacher ratio, small groups and individual teaching, and projects to stimulate and support curiosity and creativity in our students. We will be featuring science experiments and models for all ages, film and literature projects, a Model Society, many exciting chances to demonstrate learning through technology. To most conveniently accommodate family schedules during the busy summer months, each week is planned as its own unit of study.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (Upper Division)

SEED offers our older students comprehensive coverage and preparation for the their upcoming college exams, as well as support and tutoring in all academic areas. Students are invited to enroll for half days (either morning or afternoon) or the entire day. We are here for you up to 5 days per week to accommodate your schedule as needed.

SEED SCHEDULE

SEED runs for nine weeks. Lower division students may enroll for either half or full days, for any number of days per week. Teachers are planning a fun and engaging curriculum that will keep students motivated and learning for the entire nine weeks, but each week is planned as its own unit of study.

Upper division can enroll for between 2 - 5 days for test prep and tutoring, or they can sign up for the Friday workshop with Andrea Cremer alone. Test prep and tutoring is tailored to the individual so that students can move at their own pace.
